A delegation from the Raipur Press Club paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at his residence office on Monday. The delegation invited Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai to attend the upcoming “Patrakarita Martand Utsav” scheduled to be held on May 30 to commemorate 200 years of Hindi journalism.
Chief Minister Shri Sai appreciated the delegation for the invitation and extended his best wishes for the successful organisation of the event. On the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai also unveiled the poster of the “Patrakarita Martand Utsav.”
Press Club President Shri Mohan Tiwari said that the event is being organised to honour and celebrate the glorious tradition of Hindi journalism, the important role of media in democracy, and the contribution of journalism to society.
He informed that senior journalists, editors, media experts, litterateurs and distinguished personalities from various social fields from across the state and country would participate in the programme. The event will also feature journalist felicitation ceremonies, panel discussions, special lectures and cultural presentations.
On the occasion, Media Advisor to the Chief Minister Shri R. Krishna Das, Press Club Vice President Shri Gaurav Sharma and other office bearers were present.
