CG Vyapam Exam Timings Revised Amid Heatwave; Hailstorm and Rain Alert in Jagdalpur
Amid rising temperatures and worsening heatwave conditions across Chhattisgarh, the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CG Vyapam) has revised the timing of its upcoming entrance and recruitment examinations to ensure the safety of candidates. The exams, which were earlier scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM, will now start at 10:00 AM, allowing students to avoid peak afternoon heat. Authorities have instructed candidates to reach examination centres before 9:30 AM, as entry will be strictly restricted after that time. The decision comes as several parts of the state are experiencing extreme heat, with temperatures soaring beyond 43–45°C, making travel and exam conditions difficult for students. At the same time, weather fluctuations have been reported in regions like Jagdalpur, where sudden hailstorms and rainfall have provided brief relief from the heat but also disrupted normal conditions. Officials have urged candidates to stay updated with weather advisories and follow guidelines carefully while appearing for exams during this period of intense climatic variations.
