Raipur, April 20, 2026:
Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), including IOCL, BPCL, and HPCL, have assured that the supply of LPG and automotive fuels remains steady and adequate across Chhattisgarh, despite ongoing global geopolitical uncertainties.
Uninterrupted LPG Supply Across the State
OMCs have prioritised domestic LPG supply, ensuring uninterrupted delivery to households. Currently, around 72,000 LPG cylinders are being delivered daily across the state, which is consistent with normal supply levels.
The state has a strong distribution network supported by five bottling plants and over 500 LPG distributors, ensuring that demand is fully met. Adequate stock levels are maintained, and supplies are being continuously replenished.
Special Provisions and Digital Convenience
To cater to diverse consumer needs, 5 kg LPG cylinders are also being provided for students, migrant workers, and smaller households. Additionally, LPG booking has become more convenient with digital platforms such as SMS, missed calls, and IVRS.
Nearly 98% of bookings are now done digitally, ensuring faster service. Deliveries are verified using Delivery Authentication Codes (OTP-based system) to ensure transparency and prevent misuse.
Strict Action Against Malpractices
Oil companies, in coordination with the state government, are taking strict measures against black marketing and hoarding. Special teams have conducted 419 raids, registered 105 FIRs, and seized 3,946 cylinders so far.
Authorities are actively monitoring complaints and conducting surprise inspections of LPG distributors to ensure fair practices.
Adequate Petrol and Diesel Supply
Apart from LPG, petrol and diesel supply also remains stable. The state has over 2,500 fuel stations, ensuring easy access to fuel for consumers. Daily supply stands at approximately 5600 KL of petrol and 9800 KL of diesel, which is sufficient to meet demand.
With strong infrastructure, including fuel terminals and storage depots, the supply chain remains robust and uninterrupted.
Public Advisory
Authorities have urged citizens not to panic or believe in rumours regarding fuel shortages. Consumers are advised to rely only on official information and avoid unnecessary stockpiling.
Oil Marketing Companies have reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining seamless fuel availability, transparency, and strict enforcement against any irregularities.
