The first teaser arrived last fall, and while it contained almost no dialogue, it gave us a glimpse of lightsaber fights, robot battles, exploding AT-ATs, and Rotta the Hutt in fighting form. A full trailer in February fleshed out the details a bit more, with plenty of action and humorous moments, mostly involving Grogu. This final trailer opens with a shot of Grogu meditating on a moss-covered log in a swamp—very Yoda-like. Cue Weaver’s voiceover about tales of a Mandalorian and a child. We hear Mando insist that he only takes on war criminals, then vow to “take out every bad guy in your deck of cards.” Ward is focused on preventing a war: “We’re protecting everything the Rebellion fought for.” Mando might just want revenge, but he’s willing to take on the fight. They’ve got some cute Anzellans allies who pronounce Grogu “a horrible baby.” But when Mando is captured by Hutts, the “bad baby” might just be the one to save him. “This is the way.” The Mandalorian and Grogu hits theaters on May 22, 2026.
